CGAA Baseball Scholarship

Scholarship Application

The Cottage Grove Athletic Association (including its CGAA Baseball division) is a non-profit corporation established in 1961. The CGAA Baseball mission is to provide recreation and education in the field of baseball for the youth of Cottage Grove and to instill the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty and courage.

This year, CGAA Baseball will award up to three (3) $500.00 scholarships to high school senior applicants entering college who have played CGAA Baseball and represent the ideals of the organization. Scholarship recipients are selected based on their involvement in both CGAA and Park High School Baseball, as well as their involvement in volunteer activities and academic achievement.

SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

  1. The student must be a graduating high school senior.
  2. The student must have maintained a 3.0-grade point average in high school.
  3. The student must demonstrate responsible citizenship or volunteerism.
  4. Applicants must have participated in a Cottage Grove Baseball programs; ability is not a consideration.

Each $500 scholarship will be disbursed directly to the post-secondary institution upon submission of evidence of enrollment with full-time status. 

Applications are due by 5pm on Sunday, May 28, and will be announced/awarded Wednesday, May 31.

All scholarship applicants will be considered regardless of race, gender, creed, handicap or national origin.
