Common Misconceptions

Tie Goes to the Runner
(no such thing as a tie)
Ball hits the plate is foul ball
(the plate is in fair territory)
Hands are part of the bat
(Hands are not made of metal or wood)
Batter -Runner is out if turns left after over running 1st base.
(Runner must attempt 2nd to be out)
Out if carry the bat while running
(Only if it interferes with the play)
Pitch its batter in strike zone
(Dead ball strike, if 3rd strike batter out)
Runner is out if running out of baseline
(Runner makes own baseline until fielder has the ball, then baseline is from runner to base)
Batted ball hits batter in fair territory in batters box.
(It is a foul ball)
Overthrow runner get 1 plus 1?
(2 bases from where runners where at release of throw)
